Oh, What A Beautiful Musical!
Full of fun, adventure and America’s all time favorite songs, OKLAHOMA! is a romantic romp through the wild west that will leave you tapping your toes and humming the music. Set in the territory of Oklahoma at the turn of the century, this is the story of a farm girl, Laurey, and the two rivals for her affection: the cowboy, Curly, and Jud, the brooding farmhand. Add to this the comedic flavoring of a man-crazy girl who ‘Can’t Say No!” and a fast-moving, slick-talking salesman, and it’s a musical feast that the whole family will enjoy!
The Art Park Players version of this classic features Rick Evans as Curly and Shannon Nichols as Laurey. The cast is rounded out with Susan Mele, David Heyen, Mitchell McDermott, Chelsee Jernigan, Ryan Mullarkey, Mike Jankiewicz, Bob Stahl, Robert Cole, Cortney Prescott, Matthew Pena, Robert C. Heyen, Kameron Rougeou, Robert Reichenbach and an ensemble of over 70. The show is under the direction of Ryan Baker and Assisted by Kimberly Westbrook, with set design by Joe Piper. Containing such musical numbers as the popular, “Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin’”, “The Surrey With the Fringe on Top”, and, of course, “Oklahoma”, you’re in for one hootin’ and hollerin’ good time!
